Microtrack II

Bring new life to paper cutters

The Microtrack II is designed to be a cost-effective alternative to replacing damaged glass scales and older metal position indicator bands.

Microtrack II is part of the well-known family of microcut® automation systems. It was specifically designed to increase the productivity and accuracy of manually operated paper cutters. It’s designed to eleiminate time consuming, error prone need for repetitious decision making, substituting in its place the accuracy and reliability of computer control. In addition to the above benefits, microtrack II is a cost-effective alternative to replacing damaged glass scales and older metal position indicator bands.

Simple to install and operate, this cost effective, microprocessor based unit can be added to any machine, regardless of brand or size. It features Manual, Program and Automatic modes, with visual alerts to inform the operator when the backgauge is properly positioned. The operator can program the easy-to-read display for inches, centimeters or millimeters.

The Program mode allows the operator to store into memory the precise location of cuts for a single job. Once stored, the Automatic mode, through use of up and down arrows, guides him to the next cut location. When the correct position is reached the display signals the operator it is O.K. to proceed with cutting.

The microtrack II uses the existing motor and backgauge controls or handwheel for positioning and can be installed on your present machine in a matter of hours leaving the machine's existing controls and safeties undisturbed. Power is supplied by a transformer, which can be plugged into any convenient wall outlet eliminating the need for costly wiring.
